What benefits does the spouse get in an Army marriage?

Can the spouse get help to go to College too? And do you get the same benefits being reserves?What benefits does the spouse get in an Army marriage?
I tell all the young girls in my family, ';If you marry someone in the military, marry an officer!';

Oh, by the way. If you are married to him for at least 10 years of his time in the military, you are entitled to HALF of his pension for life!What benefits does the spouse get in an Army marriage?
Many many more benefits than the reserves. There is a college program. With the army relief mentioned before you usually have to pay it back, but the caa is a program that is a scholarship and does not have to be re paid. Medical, housing allowance, and much more :) You get those things as a here you go for never being with your husband. You have to consider that first. You will spend a lot of time apart. If you cant handle that the benefits dont matter. its very difficult being and army spouse
What benefits does a civilian wife get from her spouse?

Yes there are programs to financially help spouses go to college.

No you do not get the same benefits as a Reservists unless you are activated.

Please try using different wording in your questions. People are going to think you are one of THOSE wives. The ones no one can stand. The ';what about me wah wah wah'; wives.
The benefit SHOULD be that you're married to the person that you are in love with and that you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Other than that...housing allowance...medical care..Don't know about the college stuff but that's been answered in other questions..

But don't get married to someone for the benefits. Marry for love%26lt;3
for college you can easily get a scholarship from the Army Emergency Relief for 2900/yr. If you want help from his GI Bill, the new rule is that he has to be in for 6 years and have 4 years left. Of course their is medical insurance and your military ID that lets you use the commissary/PX and all sorts of discounts.

EDIT: You dont have to pay the army emergency relief back. They do have loans - but their scholarship for army wives is free and easy to get.
