California, are you gonna vote yes or no to gay marriage in the general election?

Last time was a big no, but this time so far poll showing very close and tie alike race, are you voted yes or no and explained your decision, does religion influence your decision.California, are you gonna vote yes or no to gay marriage in the general election?
Yes of course. Who are we to say who can and can't get married?

If you think true love is gross then you are disgusting. :)California, are you gonna vote yes or no to gay marriage in the general election?
Yes, of course. I am not religious, so religion has nothing to do with it. Besides, I believe religion should have nothing to do with the law. If religious people do not like gay marriage, then they do not have to take part in it. It is not their decision who should be allowed to fall in love and have a family. I know some gays who are the greatest, kindest people ever and they deserve the same rights as everyone else. If they want to be legally married, then they deserve that right because they are people too!

To the person who said ';Gays represent less than 2% of the population....only because they cry so loud do they even get the attention they are acorded. The represent a sliver of society and should by no means change society...just cause they want to.';: In retort, if they are such a small portion of society, then why do you all stand so strongly against gay marriage? If they are only 2% then just drop it and let them have what they want. It won't affect anyone else.

To the person who said, ';It opens the doors to other people wanting to be able to get married. People %26amp; pets, brothers %26amp; sisters, parents %26amp; kids, people %26amp; other close relatives, people %26amp; objects, etc.'; Two people of the same sex who are in love are not the same and incest or the other couples you listed. Your argument is flawed. You need to do some more research and open your mind.
YES marriage is a right that should be extended to all people, regardless of their sex or sexual orientation. How will gays getting married effect a straight person in ANY way? if i get married its none of your business, if you get married its none of mine.

Religious zealots are to quick to pass judgment on everyone and everything. They should but out and mind their own business because it shouldn't even be an issue.

';The brain may take advice, but not the heart, and love having no geography, knows no boundaries: weight and sink it deep, no matter, it will rise and find the surface: and why not? any love is natural and beautiful that lies within a person's nature; only hypocrites would hold a man responsible for what he loves, emotional illiterates and those of righteous envy, who, in their agitated concern, mistake so frequently the arrow pointing to heaven for the one that leads to hell.'; -Truman Capote
It shouldn't even be a question.

Californians already put it to ballot after the judges looked the law over and had ALREADY DECIDED that it would be a LEGAL law if voted in and then when it was voted in, the judges said oops! we goofed and reversed their decision.

The leftist judges just screwed california over big time and no one is doing anything about it! Put it to vote again?? B*llsh*t!!

If gays should be married, then create something that will stand on its own 2 feet and not piggy back on something already held sacred by the many religious institutions.
NOt from california--but, I don;t see what the big deal is..its not like ';gays'; are taking away anything from ';straights';..and this religion stuff is really a load of BS...people pick and choose out of the Bible only what they can use to make their point while ignoring the rest of it..If I am to buy into the religion argument, then I must assume that Christian woman are in favor of polygamy and would prefer to be treated as property no different than an as s ...as the Bible puts it.I also assume that fornication is soley for the purpose of procreation.

What I find dumbest of all is that in reality,Gays can have all the rights of straights who are married with some legal help (and cost)--but it cost the government more to not allow it---example..one partner has a disability and applies for medcaid or food stamps--because the couple is not legally married and have no blood ties--so long as the ONE partner falls within the income guidelines--the government grants them aid..however, if the two were married..the disabled persons partner would have to report their income..which would likely make the disabled person ineligable..and thats simply one example --so really, a no vote is doing the Government no favors..nor is it the taxpayer.

Its really about semantics..marriage..civil union..I can;t see what all the fuss is over.
The people in California don't pay attention to trivial things that doesn't hurt people.

They've realized that gays are people too and deserve to have the same rights as anybody else.

Come on America, wake up and pay attention to what's REALLY important instead of sticking your nose where it don't belong.
Dear Rich:

I've ALWAYS stated:

';Gays should be allowed to be

Just As Miserable (or happy)

*As The Rest Of Us!';

Religion has Nothing to do with it~

as far as I'm concerned!

If ADULTS want to sign a

Legal Document~ So What?

Isn't it the year *2008?

It's NOT the 1600's!

I am sick %26amp; TIRED of NEO-Cons!
No

Gays represent less than 2% of the population....only because they cry so loud do they even get the attention they are acorded. The represent a sliver of society and should by no means change society...just cause they want to.
To quote Chris Rock, gay people have as much right to be miserable as the rest of us. They want to get married, let them get married. More stable family units is a good thing.
yes.i will vote for the measure.

there is a reason for the separation of church and state.
yes because it's not fair that the governemt is based on Christianity when clearly not everyone is a christian and therefore Christians cannot decide what other groups can or can not do, PERIOD.
I wish they would put marriage itself on the ballot.

I think it should be taken out of the legal system altogether.
i dont think anybody should get married at all.its an old, outdated tradition that should be done away with.
NO NO NO!!!
I would vote yes for equal rights.
No due to religion
NO

Religion is the main factor
yes, they deserve to be as miserable as straights
no- i dont care bout religion... i just dont want to flush marriage down the toilet
No. It opens the doors to other people wanting to be able to get married. People %26amp; pets, brothers %26amp; sisters, parents %26amp; kids, people %26amp; other close relatives, people %26amp; objects, etc.

Religion also play an important part. It's not just Christians that don't allow same sex marriages. Most religions don't. You shouldn't force a religious group to go against their beliefs to accomodate such a small portion of the population. Most Californians aren't as liberal as everyone thinks we are.
no matter what the outcome is the liberal biased judges will just overturn the vote and pass the law allowing gay marriage just because of their personal opinions and not because of the peoples vote.
No, gay marriage is disgusting.
