Is there any document that serves as marriage proof other than marriage certificate?

I got married in 2008 as per Hindu tradition but, our marriage is not registered officially.I came to UK for short term assignemtent on work permit. My stay here is extened till end of this year. Now I want to bring my wife here. As I can't get marriage certificate, seeking for suggestion if there is any alternative document which serves as a proof of marriage. Is there any document that serves as marriage proof other than marriage certificate?
Your wife could try and get it from the Indian authorities but i think you both have to be physically present for it at the registrar's office. Is there any document that serves as marriage proof other than marriage certificate?
As your marriage is not registered officially you have to do it in the register office. It needs your presence in India. An other option for you is try to get a cohabitance visa so that your wife can stay with you. You need your photos and proof of a long term relationship. Else your wife can apply for a marriage visa in U.K and can stay with you after getting married in U.K. Best of luck.
Yes! In india generally we didn't have any marriage documents process. You can show marriage pictures, videos. If you didn't have any then you have to make few to prove that you have wife. This will work in USA. it should work in UK too? I guess...
