Can a civil marriage be changed to a catholic one?

If two people are married in a civil ceremony, can the marriage be recognized by the church later on?Can a civil marriage be changed to a catholic one?

If you are both Catholic and belong to a Catholic church..then you can have a catholic ceremony, and yes it willl be recognized by the church.


Sorta like renewing your vowes..only with a lot more rules.
I believe you'd have to have a marriage ceremony performed by a Catholic priest for it to be recognized by the Catholic Church.
