How can I surprise my partner with a marriage?

I would like to bring my partner to Massachusetts and surprise her by getting married. I would like to propose and immediately get married. We are from NJ. Without sounding bold, she will definitely accept. But how can I do this without her knowledge? I would like to propose and get married right away. I know we both need to present paperwork and medical certificates. But is there a way we could do this later and have the ceremony right away? Does anyone out there know of anyone or anyway this can be done? By the way, we are lesbians/gay. Thanks and shhhh, don't tell herHow can I surprise my partner with a marriage?
hope it is really good to do the way how you would. i know it is hard but try all your beast, like paper work you can do it according to her interest and find some good reason to convince have a medical exam example..ask your doctor to do this fever for both of you...

God be with you all.How can I surprise my partner with a marriage?
Actually, you no longer need to present medical certificates in Massachusetts. That's the good news. The bad news is, there is a mandatory 3 day waiting period after you apply for a marriage license. There's no way around that - you can't be legally married until the license is issued. I'd plan a vacation, and pop the question once you're there. Then you can apply for the license, wait your three days, and go for it! Contact the municipal offices in the town where you want to marry for the exact procedures.
In the UK this wouldn't be possible, but I don't know about where you live. In the UK both parties need to give notice and sign forms at least 2 weeks before the wedding takes place. This is then put up on the noticeboard for people to contest if they are against the suiting. This is in cases of incest and where one of the couple is already married.

I like your romantic intention, but I don't think it's a good idea to spring a wedding on someone. They will feel pressured to agree to it, and a marriage should be fully consented by both parties. Even more pressure is involved if you have guests there.
