I feel the same way about same sex marriage as I do about opposite sex marriage - it should not have to do with the government. Why should the government have the authority to join two people as one entity for tax and other legal purposes? If two people want to live together, they can. If they want to engage in a legally-binding contract, they can. If they want to participate in a religious (or secular) ceremony/tradition, they can. Why should the government get involved at all?What do you think about same sex marriage?
I don't think God intended for Adam and Eve to sleep with each other's gender. He invented Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve or Eve and Evan. I don't think same-sex marriages should be legalized because it goes against the ethics and God's Ten Commandments. The fact still remains that it happens. You can't help who you love, and I think marriage should be based on love and trust. Getting married because you are pregnant does not work either because if the man does not want to be married or care for this little innocent person who did not ask to be here, you are biting off more than you can chew. I don't know if you asked this question out of curiosity, but that is my honest opinion.
i don't believe that the gist of marriage is reproduction. that can easily happen between a male and a female if they have sex. many times one party or even both could be homosexual and still reproduce!!!!amazing ain't it?????


in my opinion marriage, for those who like the idea of it of course, is the idea of a life time companion, commitment, loyalty and love. I don't see why this should only be a right of those who declare themselves as heterosexual as if they belong to some kind of elite or as if the heterosexual lifestyle is the one that should be thanked for all achievements of human race.


I find it very difficult to understand how anorgasmic ideologies dare to have stand on issues of love and even more love making since that is one thing they have castrated and fled with quilt. My conclusion and opinion is that anyone who wants to get married should have the right to and that shouldn't worry anyone but only the people involved in the marriage.


As far as what natural is or isn't that is a totally different issue that I would love to discuss with anyone who thinks differently.
Yes, I think same sex marriages should be legal. Homosexuals should have the same rights as anyone else to find that perfect person for them and legalize that love. Lol, that sounded cheezy. But honestly, it should be leagalized, they have the right just as much as anyone to marry whom ever they want.
I know that the most important thing in the whole world is LOVE. So if 2 people love each other with all their heart %26amp; soul, then that's all that matters. I was brought up knowing that God created a woman for a man. I just think it would be very confusing for a young child to say ';i have 2 moms or i have 2 dads';. I'm no one to judge but i know marriage should be based on true love.
people should yahoo this question. i don't care, its none of my business, its not hurting me, and i believe nobody has the say in telling someone who they can and can't be with, if this really is america, the the land of the free, then people should fall in love with whoever they want without being screamed at. now i'm NOT gay, but people are people.

I've been listening to the arguments for the last decade...while our economy spun out of control. All this didn't happen over night...but now its here, and everyone is wondering how it happened?

I am for people making commitments to each other...and keeping them. When gays were all about free for all sex, everyone was shocked at the ';immorality';. The gays said fine...we'll get married...and the judgmental went berserk.





The thing is...pro and con tends to be a religious issue...and the Constitution assures me that I have not only the freedom of my religion...but the freedom...from yours.

Marriage is not the paper but the act of living together. That is a decision that is personal and private and I do not care for other people's private lives. God created Gays and Lesbians so let them live in peace!
it shouldn't be legal. men and women reproduce, that's what it's all about. getting married is taking an oath to god to love and cherish through thick and thin, you cant take that oath if god doesn't even approve of it.

I'm pretty liberal in most ways but pretty conservative when it comes to marriage. I think most Americans, even on the coasts feel this way.


I don't think it's going to happen in this country.
I think that same sex sexual realtionships are just weird and strange and unnatural. As far as marriage is concerned it doesn't matter if it's legal or not it's just weird.
I see nothing wrong with legal long-term relationships of any kind. We do not choose the people we love...and it can't be legislated; rights should be extended to all long term relationships. Just my opinion.
