It's so funny how the Republicans are against gay marriage when they're the ones you usually find falling out of the closet. Is there a canidate that both supports gay marriage and is against gun control?
Why? Are those two issues the MOST important right now? I mean, good god man, you need to rethink the issues. I can think of a hell of a lot more pressing issues than those two.
There are no candidates that support gay marriage this year, although Obama, Clinton and Edwards support civil unions, and the states right to decide. Huckabee and Thompson support a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Obama has many anti gun control stances.
My suggestion to you is you go to glassbooth.org and fill out their survey to find the candidate that is most similar to you. It is user friendly and only asks questions based on the issues you say are important.
Good luck and thank you for making an educated decision this election.
Ron Paul is a strict constitutionalists conservative. That means the federal government has strict duty, and regulating marriage, and firearms are not part of that.
Ron Paul thinks there should be no government involvement at all in marriage. However since there is, it should be voted on at a local level. City to city, state to state. Definitely not 1 sweeping law to blanket the entire country with.
The 2nd Amendment acknowledges a god given right. The right to bear arms is not given by man (which would be a privilege). Since it is a god given right, no man can mess with it, period.
*A poster above said that Giuliani was anti gun control. That is completely wrong. Giuliani is one of, if not THE worst on gun control out of all the candidates. He has sued 12 firearm manufacturers for making devices that kill. Pistol bans, and years and years be being anti gun and violating the 2nd amendment..
*As for gays. Marriage does not bother me. What bothers me is gay parades. But we are talking 2 different mindsets there. As long as there is no public indecency (which could come from gay or straight) then its none of my business.
Hillary Clinton supports gay rights and isn't against gun control...she believes in stricter gun laws, but thinks that people have a right to bear arms. Why do you assume that it would be a man (';does anyone know HIS name';)
Ron Paul thinks it should be up to the states to decide, although he personally opposes gay marriage. Giuliani as well. I don't think any Republican supports gay marriage, however... That won't exactly win them any votes.
Ron Paul.
He does support gay marriage, but he wants to let states decide on this issue. And since he is a strict Constitutionalist, he is against gun control.
that why are you a gay sissy? that would be any liberal.
