I have been in Australia for last 5 years, so I was just wondering how people are generally choosing their partner in India- by arranged marriage through parents, or the boy/girl mainly choose their own partner?


Please tell me what is the process these days.


And do the married couple generally lives with parents or they just live by themselves these days?These days generally how many boys, the girl interviews to select the right partner for marriage?
Traditional Indian citizens respect their elders, accepts arranged marriages through parents/family channels, and continue to live as a joint family with them.


The Hi-Fi type doesn't have fixed agenda. Marriying of their convenience, nuclear families, divorces, single parents etc.These days generally how many boys, the girl interviews to select the right partner for marriage?
