What things would you consider to end your marriage or keep it together?

Maybe it's just the category I answer in, but it seems like a lot of people ready to throw away marriage for piddly and selfish things. but the people that have major problems seriously want to work things out.What things would you consider to end your marriage or keep it together?
You are so right and I think its partly because these people who suffer from ';piddly and selfish'; things in their marriage have not suffered near enough to appreciate the relationship. My hubby of 16 years had a long term affair and I fought like hell to save our marriage even though the pain almost killed me. I have learned that the piddly things must be let go of and to reprioritize because you reallly don't know what you've got til it's gone.What things would you consider to end your marriage or keep it together?
I would only consider ending our marriage if there was an absence of love from either one or both parties. People are not perfect, and can make mistakes. It is said that when two pieces of broken metal are welted back together, the weld is the strongest point of the rejoined metal. Perhaps the same is true in marriage. an open heart, and an open mind, and hope that things can be better after a storm would keep us from divorcing even if one of us were to make a mistake.
A lot of people dont get the concept that marriage and relationships in general require a LOT of work from both sides

there are things you need to forgive and forget through the course of the relationship to make things work!!!





many of the yahoo answerers seem like they will be end up alone, especially those women who give stupid advice like, your husband looked at porn? DUMP HIM!!! your man has a sexual fantasy with a porn star??????? DUMP HIM!!!

Others really are better off getting out of the relationship, the ones who deal with abuse or constant cheating, those I think would better off alone and available!!
I tried to work it out with him..even gave him a second chance after I caught him in bed with his girlfriend...We were married almost 20 years..He decided to stay with his girlfriend...I filed the divorce 4 months later..what are you going to do..Once they taste the rose, they don't seem to want to come home..
I would have to leave my man if he was abusive to me or our children mentally, physically or emotionally. If he cheated, or was addicted to drugs or gambling. I just want a normal happy life with a good man.
Infidelity would end my marriage. Hitting me even once would end it. Other than those two things, I'd fight like hell for it.
The only way I would ask for a divorce is if my husband was cheating or physically abusing me.
I will divorce for infidelity and abuse.
